mm-massagem ethic code
a) aims of the present ethic code
a.1) Establish service informations and references to the professional conducts of the MM-Massagem technics.
a.2) To provide conduct patterns to the MM-Massagem technics, in their relation with society, as well as with other professionals from the health and well-being area.
a.3) Support and guide the MM-Massagem technic in his commitment with the client.
b) duties from the mm-massagem technic
b.1) Never use equipments that put at risk the physical or emotional integrity of the client.
b.2) Support possible therapeutic modalities, looking for integration with them with the well-being of the client as the final goal.
b.3) Adapt always to the patterns, moral values, and conduct rules of the society in which he operate.
b.4) Respect with dignity his profession, his own integrity, and the client's integrity.
b.5) Maintain always the best pattern of service.
b.6) Maintain always the best hygiene pattern of his own body, of his uniform, and of the work environment.
b.7) Maintain his own well-being and health.
b.8) In the didactics activity, in the formulation of apostils, or in the production of theoric material, he must always mention the informations source.
b.9) Improve and update regularly his knowledge, through group studies, courses, conference's, and others, requesting always the presence proof.
b.10) Keep the always the client informations updated in the client record.
b.11) Delegate to his responsible, when solicitated by the client, informations about his formation, professional experience, and or about the techniques that he uses in the session.
b.12) Rise the professional level and care always about the professional category.
c) relations with other professionals
c.1) Not interfere in the services of other technics, therapeuts, or other professionals from the health area.
c.2) Never recommend the suspension of any other therapy, treatment, or medicine.
c.3) Work inside the limits of the techniques, look for the integration and cooperation with other professionals, with the gold to achieve the best well-being to the client.
c.4) Never criticize other technic, therapeut, or other professional from the health area, in any circumstance.
c.5) Denounce the MM-Massagem technic whom practise or behaviour is unworthy of the profession dignity, or that desrespects this Ethic Code, in any of his items.
d) professional secrecy
d.1) Maintain the absolute secrecy of the informations obtained in the client's record.
d.2) The MM-Massagem technic can give informations to other professionals related with the technical avaliation of the client, in cases that this is become necessary, and (sine quo none condition) with the permission of the client.
d.3) Delations to the MM-Massagem responsibles, which have this Ethic Code as foundation, will be evaluated, asking to the both parts, the facts of the occurrence, and then the necessary measures will be taken.
e) professional fees
e.1) The MM-Massagem technic will receive hte payments for the professional services given, according to the price-list. Any other value that may be charged, must have the knowing of the MM-Massagem responsibles, and have the agreement of those as well as of the client.
e.2) The payments or the value of those, may suffer alterations according to the protocols, agreements, or promotions.
e.3) The MM-Massagem must keep the record of all payments received.
f) it is forbidden to the mm-massagem technic:
f.1) To attend a client who gravity of his case is from the competency of another professional in the health area.
f.2) To abandon the client during the session.
f.3) To interrupt the session with no justification.
Obs. The MM-Massagem technic must warn the client of his decision before he takes this attitude.
f.4) To use the price of the service as a way of self promotion.
f.5) To commercialize products directly in his working environment.
f.6) To make medical diagnosis.
f.7) To prescribe medicines.
f.8) To suspend therapies, treatments, or medicines, indicated by other professionals.
f.9) To act as a Doctor, Nurse, Physiotherapist, Psychotherapeut, Nutritionist, or other professional from the health area, when not requested or not qualified for that.
f.10) To announce the treatment of specific pathologies.
f.11) To publish works in which he identifies the client, without asking his permission first.
f.12) To announce or use the techniques or the nomenclature from the massage area, with the final goal of atract clients to the practise of prostitution, or other practises not related with the health area.
g) general dispositions
g.1) The MM-Massagem technic must be qualified to work in his profession, as it is explained in this Ethic Code.
g.2) The MM-Massagem technic will sign a bond, in which is this Ethic Code explained.
g.3) This Ethic Code can suffer alterations from the responsibles of the MM-Massagem, when those feel that is necessary.
g.4) Inappropriate behaviour by clients in connection with massage sessions will immediately be reported to the authorities (Polícia de Segurança Pública, Guarda Nacional Republicana) including sexual harassment, unethical or immoral behaviour during a massage or at time of booking.
